So I am told my operation went well yesterday (May 5th 2008) which is good.

Only thing I know at this point is that my throat hurts and I am stuck in a neck brace for the next month :-s

So all in all it could be worse, coulda ended up dead or paralyzed from the neck down, but I am walkin and talkin, even if this brace sucks....

take care of you neck and back, you only get 1 and if you mess it up, well your pretty well screwed.

Had a doctors appointment this morning. Discovered I have a major herniated disc in my neck, C-Spine vertebrae C5/C6 and minor bulge at C6/C7 last month. Still need to see if I can get the images of my MRI from the imaging site on a CD so I can upload the images if I want. My primary care physician deemed it necessary for me to go to a specialist. So I talked to a neurosurgeon today. After the initial exam pleasantries, we get to my MRI films. First thing out of his mouth is "Those aren't friendly" never a good sign. Seems due to the severity of my bulging/pinching therapy is not an option, I have to have surgery to fix my problem. Just hope it will actually fix the problem in one try, since I will be off work for a month, then on limited duty for another month after (I do not have any idea how to not work full tilt or take it THAT easy for a month) I mean I admit I am a lazy shit, but when I work, I WORK.. Plus all this means I am not going to be able to really work on my jeep for at least a month and not likely to be able to offroad it for couple 3 months :-s Too say I am worried, is a bit of an understatement, hell I am willing to go as far as to say I'm scared shitless, never been thru anything even coming close to this before. Keep your fingers crossed for me people, I may need it to get thru this....

Finally got my Toughstuff Safety thimble in, which means I can install the new winch rope/fairlead I have sitting in the jeep (safer and lighter, always a good thing)

Also have 8 1 watt LED light self contained units, will be using 3 per side as rock lights and 1 in front of each front tire to light the area just ahead of them for offloading

1 more day to go, then bright and early saturday I am taking the jeep to Expert Offroad in Plano, have them-install all the new suspension joints I have, hoping that will cure all the clanks and pops I get when-driving the jeep even on flat-ground let alone offroad.

And the biggest bit, also the scariest, least for me, have an appointment with a Neurosurgeon next tuesday morning to have him look at the MRI of my neck and see what he can do to help fix my neck and upper back problems. Just hoping I can get right without going under the knife to do it. (cross your fingers for me folks)
